We recently celebrated Little M’s 2nd birthday and it was a beautiful party. We were surrounded by our family at Little M’s absolute favorite place in the world – the beach!
As you can see, we had a party animal theme and all of the animals (and guests) had little party hats. My inspiration came from this post on Oh Happy Day.
Doesn’t gold just make everything look more festive?
Little M loved his birthday cake, which was topped with awesome party animal decorations and candles.
Guests were asked to leave a note for the birthday boy. I am saving them for Little M so he will have a reminder of this special day.
Everyone took home a custom designed tote bag, which matched our party animal theme.
Party Details:
The Animals: I bought plastic animal figures (like these) in three different sizes and spray painted them gold. We also used some of Little M’s schleich animals to continue the theme. We topped all of the animals with colorful little party hats.
The Hats: I used this template to make the party hats. I made them in several sizes and topped them with colorful pom poms.
The Place Cards: I designed the gorgeous place cards with help from the super talented Deep Blue Sea Paperie.
The Favors: I wanted to give our guests a favor they would be able to really use, and that would also be a special reminder of Little M’s big 2nd birthday. What better than a reusable tote bag – I worked closely with the amazing WhimsyBags and designed the perfect bags. There was a lot of back and forth, but we got all the details down (notice the number 2 amongst the animals?) I adore the totes and use mine practically every day!
