Planning a trip with the little ones this summer? From children’s cooking classes to family-friendly eco-adventures and itineraries just for kids, these luxury hotels have figured out how to make getting away fun for the whole family!

The Peninsula Hotels offer kids’ cooking classes at all of their USA hotels. Choose from the Little Bakers Class in Chicago, Kids in the Kitchen in New York or our personal favorite, Kids, Cookies And Cupcakes: Young Pastry Chefs Academy in Beverly Hills – where kids work with the hotel’s pastry chefs, learning the art of baking and decorating.

The Ritz-Carlton’s Ritz Kids Program is one of our favorites. Ritz-Carlton has a wonderful partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Futures Society which allows the various properties to offer environmentally focused experiences and activities specially tailored to children’s interests. For example, the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel offers activities such as Sea Hikes, Whale Watching Expeditions, and Culture: Flash! Snap! Crop!, where kids can write, direct and star in their very own videos about environmental issues. Kids can also explore the Eco-Adventure Center and did we mention that there is a Beach Butler. (P.S. That’s Little M in the picture above, when he was a tiny tot).

Sea Island Resort offers a host of activities for children and families. Whether your kids want to watch baby sea turtles hatching, bake cookies, go fishing, paddle board, or explore nature and go on scavenger hunts, the luxury resort has you covered. Also, Sea Island is offering their first ever Kids’ Creativity Weekend this year (August 4-5, 2017).

fourseasons

Four Seasons has perfected the art of family travel. Each hotel and resort has its own variation on kid-friendly amenities and activities, but every single one is sure to leave a lasting impression on your little ones and have them asking, “when are we going back?” At Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire, children can wear their wellies and explore the 500 acres of fields and gardens. The Own a Pony program teaches kids (ages 7-16) how to bathe and tack up a pony before going on a ride around the property. At Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, children can learn how to craft Florentine souvenirs and go on photography walks. And at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, children can take yoga classes, learn how to cook Malaysian cuisine, go rock climbing and go on a monkey safari through the mangroves.
