We are on spring break this week and I can’t think of a better time to try out our newest cookbook – Ella’s Kitchen: The Big Baking Book.
Little M and I have enjoyed Ella’s Kitchen recipes before. In fact, the first Ella’s Kitchen cookbook is always one of the first books we turn to when searching for recipe inspiration.
This newest book is as appealing as the first. The illustrations are colorful and cute and the pictures of kids cooking, eating and enjoying their food always seem to entertain Little M. The recipes include everything from snacks to meals to parties and, of course, dessert. We have marked a number of recipes that we plan to make, including quiches, raisin buns and meatloaf. Of course, we started out with making muffins – banana and blackberry muffins to be precise!
We love the picnic foods section – it’s perfect for our plans for summer meals at the park. And the “Can I Help” bubbles on almost every page explain how little ones can be involved in various steps along the way, from mixing, to measuring to pouring and, let’s not forget, tasting!
Can’t wait to try out the recipes? Ella’s Kitchen has got you covered. Here are two recipes from the book, Blushing Beetroot Brownies and Golden Treasure Muffins, perfect for your next family baking project.
