I recently received Share: The Cookbook that Celebrates Our Common Humanity and it has quickly become a favorite in our home. Best of all, 100 percent of publisher’s profits go toward Women for Women International to help women in war-torn countries rebuild their lives.
We love the stories and the mission of this book and we also, obviously, love the recipes. They come from women living in war-torn countries and also from world renowned chefs like Alice Waters and Rene Redzepi, as well as humanitarians like Nelson Mandela, Christiane Amanpour and Emma Thompson.
The photos are gorgeous! Little M and I enjoy paging through the book and deciding what to make. The meals range from special occasion dishes, everyday food and family-friendly favorites. Mia Farrow’s Breakfast Pancakes are a hit as are America Ferrerra’s Chicken Fajitas with Corn Salsa.
Most of all, we love the message of Share and the enthusiasm that all the contributors bring to the project. I feel good every time I read this book and we love trying out all the delicious recipes and learning about different cuisines and cultures along the way.
