The Perfect Family Holiday in San Diego

We recently spent a lovely weekend in San Diego and while we expected to enjoy our trip,we didn’t realize just how ideal this quintessential California coastal town would be for our family vacation.

We stayed at the stunning Four Seasons Residence Club in North San Diego. I cannot imagine a hotel that could be more perfect for spending a relaxing vacation with kids. Our suite came complete with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, spacious rooms and beautiful patio views. We truly came to think of the resort as our home away from home.

We loaded the fridge with toddler friendly snacks and healthy meals, but we also indulged in items from the room service menu – the s’mores were Little M’s favorite! Then again, he also loved this treat and Lego toy that were waiting for him upon our arrival.

We had a hard time deciding how to spend our time, there are so many wonderful family-friendly activities in San Diego. The San Diego Zoo? Safari Park? Legoland? Seaworld? Little M cast the deciding vote and off to Legoland we went!

Best decision ever! He still talks about it.

Luckily, it wasn’t hard to convince Little M to leave Legoland and return to the hotel. After all, we had the pool waiting for us. Not to mention all the kid-friendly activities like family poolside movie nights, magic shows, ceramic painting parties, animal shows and the new kids’ club. How great is this kids’ pool – perfect for toddlers!
